Our Mission
To protect and preserves the natural environment by reducing pollution and educating the community about the waterways that surround us.
GET INVOLVED
What can you expect as a RCU volunteer or partner?
Expect to work hard. Over the years, volunteers have pulled HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of pounds of trash from local waterways. During clean ups, we find 55 gallon barrels, tires, water heaters, propane tanks, bikes, car parts, huge chunks of styrofoam, appliances and way too much non renewable plastic to count.
Expect to make a difference. We pride ourselves on helping local watershed conservation efforts. Pollution destroys habitats, poisons the water and kills plants and wildlife. Our work reduces pollution and preserve the health and beauty of local waterways.
Expect to better our community. We live here, we work here and we play here. Clean, healthy waterways reduce human health risk and improve quality of life. Less trash means more recreational activities along the river. As recreational activities increases, tourism increases. Thus, affecting both the economy and well-being of the community.

Past Events
This annual event has been happening since 1993
What started as a small group of friends on a couple of boats has grown to include thousands of volunteers and dozens of local businesses. Every year our mission is the same — to protect and preserve the waterways surrounding our community, and to have fun doing it.
